The attractiveness of Mexico for tourists is largely due to the peculiarities of its geography, history and climate. On both sides, the territory of this country, bordering in the north with the United States, and in the south with Guatemala and tiny Belize, is washed by the waters of the Pacific Ocean, as well as one sea – the Caribbean, and two bays. Climate
As a large country, Mexico boasts two climatic zones: tropical and subtropical, and two seasons – dry and wet. The dry season – aka the Mexican “winter” – begins in November and ends in April. At this time, air on the coast heats up to + 25-28 C, water – up to + 25-26 C, and there is practically no precipitation. In the highlands in winter it is much cooler than on the coast: sometimes it snows there, unusual for tropical latitudes. In May, summer begins, bringing with it very hot weather – up to +38 C, rains and gusty winds. In summer, coastal waters warm up to + 29-30 C.
When is the best time to come?
Regardless of whether you want to choose a tour for a beach holiday or prefer a purely educational tourism, the best time to visit Mexico is the dry season, i.e. November-April. At the coastal resorts, the high season is separately distinguished, starting in mid-November and ending in the last days of February. At the same time, rest in Mexico is possible all year round, and those who choose summer months for a trip will be able to save money, because prices for tours during this period are slightly lower.
