Pak vs. Eng: scoreboard of T20 World Cup final players
The T20 World Cup 2022 decider, one of the most expected cricket matches, will be played today at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) between finalists Pakistan and England (Sunday).
The two teams’ historic ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 final will feature a star-studded lineup. Let’s look at how serious the finalists’ batting and bowling ranks are.
With star openers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan dominates the top of the ICC T20I Batting Rankings, but England’s renowned depth is revealed by having more batters in the top 100.
Young gun Mohammad Haris is on the way to pushing into that top bracket on the back of his outstanding T20 World Cup for Pakistan. At the same time, England’s Ben Stokes has famously shown he can impact the biggest of stages, despite a lowly batting and bowling ranking.
Preview
Pakistan’s pace attack is expected to be crucial in determining the T20 World Cup final, but England’s Sam Curran is the only player from either team in the top ten of the T20I Bowling Rankings.
Curran and Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi have each taken ten wickets in the T20 World Cup, while England will hope to have express-paced Mark Wood available to add to his nine wickets.
England also has the highest-ranked spinner in Adil Rashid, though Shadab Khan has arguably been Pakistan’s top turner with ten wickets.
